Lancaster Scores 14 in Fifth to Defeat Dublin

June 2 2023 The Lancaster Sound Breakers defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 23-4. Lancaster collected 23 hits and scored in six innings while Dublin finished with five hits. Both teams were charged with two errors.

Lancaster took a 2-1 lead after two innings before breaking the game open with a 14-run fifth. The Sound Breakers added three runs in the eighth, while Dublin scored once in the second and fifth innings before adding two runs in the ninth.

Jacob Jablonski led Lancaster with three hits, four runs and four RBI, including a home run. Luke Smith went 4-for-6 with three runs and two RBI, while Hayden Faunce had three hits, two runs and three RBI. Kyle Jenkins scored three runs and drove in two, and Nate Duarte added a hit, three runs and two RBI. AJ Chacon also contributed four hits and two runs.

Chacon earned the win after allowing three hits and two earned runs in six innings while striking out nine and walking five. JJ Holiday and Colin Cortez combined to cover the final three innings. Dublin starter Josue Rivera took the loss after allowing 10 hits and six earned runs in four innings with three strikeouts and four walks.
